Our SOLUTION-ORIENTED AREAS OF FOCUS

Our mission is simple and our focus is strategic. The items below are a brief description of how we work and envision accomplishing our goals.

You can help any of the following ways:

  • Volunteer your time to trap cats or help transport

  • Volunteer your time other ways: event assistance, social media, etc.

  • Raise or donate money

  • Spread the word

  • Engage with our content on social media

GAIN AWARENESS & SUPPORT AMONGST COMMUNITY LEADERS

We want to lead a community-led program for a community-created problem. Gaining support from the Parish’s leader is paramount to the program’s start up and continued success in the future. Government funding wound enable the Coalition to offer free TNR to all residents who want to participate.

GETTING THE COMMUNITY INVOLVED

A successful program requires volunteers! Whether you want to trap, raise money, feed a fixed colony, or help a kitty at Kitty City SOS, there’s an opportunity for everyone. Reach out and get details on how you can get involved.

STRENGTHEN OUR SHELTER & ANIMAL CONTROL TEAM

Our local shelter and animal control people do hard, emotionally and physically draining work…often with very few resources and little to no recognition. Gaining support from Parish leaders and the community to help their team is key to helping give them the tools they need to do their best work.

FIX COMMUNITY CATS

No coalition is complete without a goal. And ours is simple (though ambitious). We want to have all of St. Bernard’s Community Cats fixed in five years.
